A family affair

My mom, Dad, Jeff and I tackled the master bedroom and it was NO JOKE!

First we focused on taking down the wallpaper... mom was my partner in crime

 Our hope was that the plaster walls behind all that wallpaper could be saved

 Yea, we are cute!

 Very very carefully the wallpaper came down

 Jeff focused on the third floating fireplace

 The closets also needed to come down

She is tough

 The closets are almost gone

 The plaster in the closets was destroyed...so down it comes

 Bye Bye closet.... ahhhhh, now that is a nice big room

 Unfortunately the plaster could not be saved
(bummer)

 So down it comes

 Lath makes such a mess

 Now what do we do about that tin ceiling?

 The decision is make... down it comes

 Very carefully so that the tin can be used somewhere else

Once the tin is down we have to face the plaster ceiling.... and the worry of what else is up there...

Down it comes

 Taking plaster ceilings down is a messy messy job

 And then all the old insulation from the attic fell on our heads

So now it is ready for the next phase.... completely gutted and ready to be put back together
