Belle Renovation Update
We always knew that we would have to give Belle a new foundation... so this intense work was not a surprise to us or our Superheroes!
They split the project into two parts: first they jacked up the south side of the house and removed the old 160 year old foundation - and then once it was complete, they moved to the north side of the house. Hence all the bricks!
This is what the foundation looked like BEFORE ..... (and no it is not supposed the bend like that)
And here it is all done.... beaut-tee-ful... oh yea!
However to get to this beautiful finished product, there was A LOT of digging involved by our Superheroes!
And a lot of cement!
And my friends when you add a lot of hard work to a lot of cement = you end up with a new foundation that will ensure our beautiful Belle lives a solid 160 more years! Bam!
So what else has been going on you wonder?
Our Superheroes brought power to what will be "Jen's workshop" and poured me a new cement floor... and I have every intention to hang a bright pink chandelier when it is painted!

They also installed the new "wing roofs" over the kitchen and screened in porch
And this past weekend two dudes (superheroes in training) spend the entire weekend on top of the house scrapping the metal roofs to prepare them for a fresh coat of paint! (see them on the roof?!)
So what is next? Final plumbing inspection, finish up the new HVAC system, patch some issues on the roof... and then comes the drywall!!! WOW!!!
